The winner of the Far Eastern Federal District boxing championship among youth born in 2008-2009 was an athlete from the Trans-Baikal Territory, Ivan Khitrikov. This was reported in the telegram channel of the regional Boxing Federation.
“Our boxer had four fights in the 54 kg weight category, completed the category of candidate master of sports and won a ticket to the Russian championship,” the message says.
Ilya Sharai took second place in the lighter weight category, losing in a stubborn battle to a boxer from Buryatia.
In addition, both athletes received special championship prizes from the federation: Khitrikov for the best fight, and Sharai as the best boxer of the competition.
Konstantin Sumarokov was named the best coach, and boxing veteran and informant judge Alexander Zherebtsov was awarded for his many years of work.
