A “yellow” level of weather danger was introduced in Moscow due to fog

In Moscow on the night of Wednesday, December 6, fog is forecast. The press service of the capital department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation warns about this.
The department urged motorists to exercise increased care and caution on the roads, and to avoid sudden maneuvers.
The Hydrometeorological Center of Russia has raised the level of weather danger due to the expected fog to “yellow”. The warning is in effect from midnight until 6am on Wednesday 6 December. In the Moscow region, the weather is considered dangerous due to fog from 21:00 on December 5 to 9:00 on December 6, according to the forecast warning map of the Hydrometeorological Center.
In addition, the capital region also operates “orange” level of weather danger due to the approaching frost. From December 5 to 9, abnormally cold weather is expected in Moscow and the Moscow region with an average daily temperature seven to ten degrees below the climate norm.
Due to the weather, since the beginning of this week there has been a record number of flight delays and redirects to other air ports across Russia. Only at capital airports due to snowfall from Monday about 70 flights were delayedthere are also complete cancellations.
