CBS News: In Canada, a woman found out after a DNA test that she is 25% Labrador dog

Toronto resident, journalist Christina Hager, decided to test a popular Canadian service for determining dog breeds using a DNA test and was surprised by the result, reports CBS News.

Hager sent a sample of her DNA to DNA My Dog. After some time, she received the answer that she was 40 percent Alaskan Malamute, 35 percent Shar Pei and 25 percent Labrador. However, the laboratory that tested the genetic material refused to give a definitive answer.

It is noted that the journalist tried to check the credibility of three different organizations. The American-Australian Orivet said the laboratory technician was unable to determine the breed from the sample provided. The Washington-based Wisdom Panel said the sample did not contain enough DNA to accurately identify the breed.
