A court in Warsaw overturned a ban on a pro-Palestinian demonstration previously imposed by the capital’s authorities. Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski shared this information on his account on the social network “X”.
The reason for the ban, Warsaw authorities claimed, was security reasons and police recommendations. The court did not support assumptions about possible security threats expressed by city authorities and law enforcement agencies.
The mayor stressed that they accept the court’s decision and call on the police to remain vigilant to avoid possible incidents during the route of the pro-Palestinian demonstration through the narrow streets of the Ochota district. The importance of ensuring the safety of participants and local residents remains a priority.
