A volunteer spoke about his journey from a rescuer to a scout in the NWO

At the front line, the MK correspondent talked with a volunteer intelligence officer and found out what qualities a true intelligence professional should have, who you most often encounter on the battlefield, and also how the hero sees his future after victory.

A volunteer from the “Bars” detachment with the call sign “Scorpion” not so long ago worked as a firefighter-rescuer, and now he is the head of the reconnaissance group. He says that at home he was engaged in saving human lives in fires and accidents, and now he is saving people from Ukrainian terror.

The decision to volunteer was made, one might say, spontaneously, shortly before the start of mobilization. An example was friends and comrades who went to the front. At home, after what was said, the interlocutor admits, a real scandal erupted.

“My relatives cried, shouted that I didn’t have to do this, that it would be difficult for me, they could kill me here,” the volunteer recalls. – But I am convinced that if desired, a person can cope with almost everything. It just takes a little more effort somewhere.

According to the soldier, a real intelligence officer must first of all be well prepared physically and have endurance, because the routes on which you have to work are quite long. In addition, another important feature should be iron restraint, especially when it is necessary not to give out your location.

– You must move to a certain square to complete the task, – explains the volunteer, – to identify the enemy group, or set up an ambush. Then report to your leadership about the location of the enemy. All of this takes a lot of effort and perseverance…

However, as the fighter said, if you want to be not just a scout, but a good scout, then in addition to the above, it is also very important to have certain knowledge in the field of engineering and demining, be able to move correctly on rough terrain, and competently handle the necessary reconnaissance equipment. In addition, a scout must be sociable and be able to find an approach to people in order to obtain the information he needs.

– You can not always be a group behind enemy lines or directly on the line of contact, – explains “Scorpion”. – Sometimes you have to work alone with the population in the liberated territories in order to obtain the necessary information.

Scouts mostly work in small groups, fives. This, according to Scorpio, is the best option. The five consists of a machine gunner, a sniper and three submachine gunners. This number of people is enough to complete the tasks.

“Scorpion” recalls the case of how, with his group, during the execution of the task, he fell into an ambush organized by the enemy. The scouts performed the task itself perfectly, but on the way out they came under fire from a Polish mortar.

– As many, I’m sure, know, the shells of Polish mortars are silent, – the volunteer explains. “They can only be heard at the moment of detonation.

The scouts entered the battle with a well-prepared enemy group that outnumbered them. The enemy fire was very dense, but the volunteers were able to run to the stronghold of the fighters of the neighboring unit, under the cover of which they left the battle with minimal losses. One of the group was seriously injured. Fortunately, he was evacuated in time, and now nothing threatens his life and health.

But the enemy, Scorpio continues not without pride, suffered more serious losses:

– Two “three hundredths” and one “two hundredths”. As a result, they had to retreat.

My interlocutor says that he has met with foreign mercenaries fighting on the side of Ukraine even more often than with the Ukrainians themselves. Mostly they were Poles. The scouts found trophies in Polish, with close contact they heard Polish speech. Yes, and an external distinguishing feature, such as black clothes, betrayed the identity of the mercenaries.

According to the volunteer, we must pay tribute, the Poles are a worthy opponent, and in order to resist them, knowledge and skills of combat training are needed.

“I believe that a soldier should always improve,” he says.

Scorpio now does not see its future without an army. He says that after the end of the special operation he plans to remain in the ranks of the Armed Forces, although he has not yet decided in which troops.
