A useless domestic chip was found in a “completely” Russian LightCom monitor for 50 thousand rubles. The blogger removed the Milander chip from the monitor, which is stated to be the main microcontroller, and replaced it with a wire to close the circuit. But the monitor continued to work.

As the Telegram channel “Backdoor” notes, it turned out that the chip from Milandra was a “dummy” for appearance, and all the work was done by the Taiwanese RTD2525AR chip from Realtek. The LightCom guys carefully hid it behind the radiator.

“Why is there a Russian chip there then? So that the Ministry of Industry and Trade considers the entire monitor Russian and gives it a high localization score,” the publication notes.
