Doctors at the Children’s Regional Hospital saved a two-year-old resident of the Leningrad region who, out of curiosity, swallowed more than 100 magnetic balls.
As the press service of the Leningrad Region Administration reports on its Telegram channel, doctors have never seen such a number of foreign bodies in the gastrointestinal tract.
The head of the endoscopy department, Anastasia Vasilyeva, managed to extract exactly 100 balls using an endoscope. But a team of surgeons had to work to extract the rest.
Now, after a successful operation, the child is recovering.
