Utility workers were afraid of the resonance and closed the well

MK has already written about 53-year-old Togliatti resident Alexander Budylev, who has been living in a sewer manhole for a year and a half. After the divorce, he left the apartment to his family, and he moved to the city to live with relatives. As a result, he ended up in a sewer “small family” – that’s what Shurik called his shelter. However, after the story was covered in the media, bad changes happened in Shurik’s life. Utility services were afraid of the resonance and closed the well. For several weeks, the homeless man could not get into the warmth. When volunteers came to visit Uncle Sasha, they found him on the street.

The tramp was toiling at another well, trying to open it.

“I think that in a few more minutes he would have gone astray, and perhaps we would never have seen him again,” Tolyatti volunteer Anton Gletcherov told MK.

We decided not to hesitate and take the homeless man somewhere warm. Those who wanted to shelter and ennoble Shurik were found outside the city. The man was fed and his bath was heated. Volunteers also had to wash the poor fellow.

“He is a sick man and has difficulty moving.” He couldn’t even undress himself. He was wearing three pairs of socks that had to be cut to remove them, the volunteer said.

Shurik admitted that he had not washed for three years. The dirt had to be almost scraped off.

After the water treatments, Shurik was dressed in clean clothes and taken to the hairdresser. There he had his hair cut and shaved. Now he has lost his beard and hair, which he does not regret.

The man was not allowed to look for a new shelter. He was assigned to a social shelter for the homeless, in other words, to a shelter. Here he will undergo a medical examination and will be helped to restore his documents. If there is evidence, they will issue a disability.

But living conditions in the homeless shelter are strict. From food – only dinner. If a resident is absent for three nights in a row, he is deprived of the right to reside in a social institution,

– We don’t hold anyone. This is not a hospital or a prison,” a shelter employee told an MK correspondent. – In the morning I got up, washed my face and went. Some are looking for work, others are looking for relatives. Well, if he drinks or goes on a spree, he is excluded.

– Guests are provided with only dinner. Where do they get food the rest of the time?

“Well, somewhere they took her before,” answers the shelter employee.

You can only live in a social shelter for three months. Whether Alexander Budylev will be able to find a job and earn an income rather than beg is a big question. Even if he finds a job, will his salary be enough to rent a house?

Alexander was born into a large large family. He has three brothers and one sister. Besides them, there is a daughter who may not even know about his existence: the man was sent to prison when the girl was 4 years old. After his return from places not so distant, his wife filed for divorce.

Lately, Shurik has been communicating with his aunt and his common-law wife’s stepson. They invited the man to live with them, but he failed to get along with their families. He went on the run again and again.

So far, of all the numerous relatives, no one has taken part in Alexander’s fate. Even after public outcry.
