A third of the largest Russian companies neglect the protection of websites from DDoS attacks

Almost a third of the largest Russian companies by revenue do not provide an adequate level of protection for websites from DDoS attacks. This is stated in a study by StormWall (available to Vedomosti). The study was conducted in June 2023. StormWall analyzed the websites of 100 largest Russian companies from the Test Firm rating (accumulates financial statements data, compiled by the audit company Avdeev & Co).
According to the study, all 100 rating companies provide site protection only at the low network level of the hosting provider. But if attackers attack the resource of a particular company, then 30% of companies will not be able to protect it. More than 90% of DDoS attacks follow this scenario, StormWall analysts say.
