A fire tornado that appeared as a result of large-scale fires in Primorye was caught on video on social networks.
Reportedly, near the two settlements of Khasan and Gvozdevo, a fire raged on an area of about 363 hectares; it could not be extinguished for 2 days. As a result, firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to residential buildings, the regional Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations reports in its Telegram channel.
“The threat to populated areas was repulsed,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
Strong winds hampered the firefighting efforts. The difficult fire situation in the region continues.
