27 years later, Las Vegas police detained a suspect in the murder of famous American rapper Tupac Shakur. The city prosecutor’s office filed charges against Keith Davis and he was arrested. The Associated Press and The New York Times reported this with reference to their sources.
The musician was killed on September 7, 1996. He was shot from a car that stopped next to his car. According to one of the initial versions, the shots were preceded by a conflict and a road quarrel.
Keith Davis, detained on Friday, was the leader of one of the criminal gangs in Las Vegas in the mid-90s. Previously, he repeatedly said that he was in the car from which Tupac Shakur was shot. Nevertheless, Davis appeared in the case as a witness.
In his memoirs, he explained that the instigator of the conflict on the road was the rapper himself, who allegedly attacked his nephew Orlando Anderson. It was he who was suspected of murdering the musician for a long time. But they didn’t have time to investigate this. Anderson himself died in another shooting two years after the murder of Tupac Shakur.
