Alina Kazakova, a ninth-grade student of the capital’s school No. 2120, won the city boxing championship for the third time in her age group.
The girl considers herself a versatile athlete: she used to go in for swimming and tennis, and for the last five years she has been fond of boxing. Last year, Alina entered the top 5 best boxers in her age category. By the way, boxing attracts her not only because it needs strength and dexterity, but because in this sport it is very important to be able to think tactically.
According to the coach of the girl Mikhail Kazakov, boxing is, first of all, brains.
– You can be strong physically, beat so that the horses will fall. But at the same time, the one who can outwit you, even a weaker opponent, will be the winner. Boxing is the art of self-defense, said Mikhail Kazakov.
At school, in the boxing section, girls are engaged on an equal basis with boys, no concessions are made to the weaker sex. Mikhail Kazakov believes that girls are more enduring and faster, they better understand what is required of them.
Despite the huge workload in the sports section, frequent camps and constant training, the girl is successfully mastering the program of the ninth grade in mathematics, and in the future she is going to connect her life with biotechnology.
