A state of emergency was introduced in a Voronezh village due to a “discharge of ammunition” on January 2 – Kommersant

In the village of Petropavlovka, Ostrogozhsky district, Voronezh region, where on January 2 fell ammunition from a Russian aircraft, a regional emergency situation (ES) was introduced. As Governor Alexander Gusev said, this will speed up the allocation of funds for the restoration of damaged property.

The inspection of the affected facilities in the locality is now being completed. “I directed my colleagues: as a result of the work, residents should receive houses and other objects with characteristics no worse than they were. As promised, we will carry out construction, major repairs of housing, and compensate for lost cars and outbuildings,” wrote Mr. Gusev in his Telegram channel.

He noted that the authorities will monitor the quality of work, which must be completed as soon as possible. After the incident, a local emergency regime was introduced in the village, which made it possible to allocate funds from the region for restoration. The introduction of a regional emergency regime will make it possible to allocate money from the regional budget.

As a result of an emergency discharge of ammunition in Petropavlovka, four people sought medical help with minor injuries. The day after the incident, authorities reported that nine houses in the village would be rebuilt, but overall damage got more than 100 houses. At a local school where 32 children study, some of the windows were broken and the roof was damaged.

The village of Petropavlovka, Ostrogozhsky district, is located approximately 150 km from the border with the Kharkov region of Ukraine and 80 km from Voronezh.
