A state of emergency has been introduced on the territory of a number of municipalities in Crimea, said the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov.
“In connection with the disruption of the life of the population resulting from the passage of unfavorable weather conditions, a decision was made to introduce a state of emergency on the territory of certain municipalities in the Republic of Crimea,” the head of the region wrote in his Telegram channel.
On the night of November 26, the Crimean peninsula was covered by a powerful hurricane. According to preliminary data, up to half a million people were left without electricity due to bad weather, at least one person died (he was washed into the sea while walking along the embankment near Sudak), several more were injured.
In Yevpatoria and the Saki region of Crimea, 93 residential and 100 guest houses were flooded.
