A seven-year-old boy became the 500,000th visitor to the Russia Exhibition and won a trip to St. Petersburg

Seven-year-old resident of Rostov-on-Don Matvey became the five hundred thousandth visitor to the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia” and received a special prize – a two-day train trip with his family to St. Petersburg. He came to the capital with his mother. The presentation of the prize took place at the stand of the Northern capital.
Matvey’s mother Tatyana Guzeva said that the family’s dream is to visit St. Petersburg.
“It’s unexpected and a huge delight. We wanted to go to St. Petersburg in winter or next summer. We associate with this city all the most romantic, all the most tender. I would like to see everything, but the moment when the bridges are raised is the most charming,” said the mother of the winning boy.
The Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg and JSC Russian Railways, which are partners of the project, have prepared a rich program. Over the course of two days, the family from Rostov-on-Don will visit excursions in museums, the architectural ensemble of the ceremonial city center, stroll through the Peter and Paul Fortress, enjoy masterpieces of art in the Hermitage, and also get acquainted with the exhibition of the Russian Railway Museum. On the second day of the trip, Matvey’s family will be shown the city of Russian naval glory, Kronstadt.
The certificate for the trip was presented to the winners by Natalya Virtuozova, Director General of the ANO Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements “Russia”.
Let us remind you that the exhibition “Russia” opened on November 4 and will last until April 12, 2024. In the first three days, the exhibition was visited by 448 thousand people, which is a VDNKh record.
