A satellite photo has emerged of dramatic changes at the US nuclear test site in Nevada.

Over the past few years, space satellites have recorded activity at the nuclear test sites of countries that own nuclear weapons, reports CNN. As one example, the channel cites the nuclear test site in the Nevada desert in the United States.
According to published satellite images, over the past five years the territory of the test site has been significantly expanded.
CNN notes that every few years the United States publishes a Nuclear Posture Review, which describes the current role of nuclear weapons in the arsenal for national security. The latest bulletin was issued in October last year, and it states that Washington allows the use of nuclear weapons only as a “last resort,” the channel points out. At the same time, CNN notes that at the same time the United States does not recognize the principle of “no first use (of nuclear weapons),” as it creates an “unacceptable risk” for national security.
CNN experts said that increased activity at the test sites of nuclear powers may indicate preparations for weapons tests.
