Canada will transfer 35 drones to Ukraine in a new military aid package

Canada will transfer another 35 drones, light military equipment and ammunition to Ukraine as part of the next aid package. The country will also provide assistance in training military personnel and repairing military vehicles, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

“We will send Ukraine 35 UAVs equipped with high-definition cameras, provide technical support, as well as light equipment and ammunition,” Trudeau said (quote according to TASS).

The prime minister also noted that the republic will help Ukraine train pilots to fly F-16 fighters and will provide support in servicing Leopard 2 tanks.

Earlier, NBC reported that American President Joe Biden promised Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky to transfer a small batch of ATACMS shells to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The channel clarified that it received this information from several sources in the US Congress. The White house not confirmed this statement and refused to comment on it.
