A woman living in the Sverdlovsk region was found guilty by the court of murdering an acquaintance and attempting to kill a witness to the crime.

The defendant was sentenced to 15 years in a general regime colony under Articles 105 and 30 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to investigators, she was visiting and drinking alcohol, and then stabbed the owner multiple times with a kitchen knife and tried to deal with another man in the room so that he would not inform the police.

The woman had previously been convicted of murder and intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm.
