The court of the Rostov region sentenced Sergei Krivitsky, an agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, to 11.5 years in prison for attempting to purchase components for the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. This was reported by the FSB Public Relations Center.

Krivitsky was charged under Article 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Espionage”. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security colony.

The department said that the Ukrainian agent was caught red-handed in Rostov-on-Don. He wanted to buy secret military products. His plans included the acquisition of klystrons, which are used as part of the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. The court also proved Krivitsky’s involvement in an attempt to organize the delivery of similar devices in November 2019 in the interests of Ukrainian intelligence.
