A resident of the Verkhnebureinsky district of the Khabarovsk Territory was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the especially brutal murder of her one-year-old son, informs Head of the Investigative Committee for the region.
As noted, the investigation and the court found that in the period from 2020 to 2021, a woman, living with a minor in an apartment in a residential building in the working settlement of Novy Urgal, more than once resorted to violence against the child, subjected him to cruel treatment and torture. According to the information of the regional department of the UK, in June 2021, she inflicted multiple punches and kicks on his head and body, due to which he died at the scene of the incident.
The regional prosecutor’s office emphasized that the boy had a closed fracture of the arm, blunt trauma to the chest and abdominal organs, as well as a closed craniocerebral injury, which was complicated by hemorrhage in the lateral, third and fourth ventricles of the brain.
According to the SU SK, the family was not registered for preventive care.
