“I saw a body in the back seat”

An adventure that could only happen on New Year’s Eve was experienced by 35-year-old resident of Magnitogorsk Ekaterina Zabubonova. The woman rode around the city in her car, not noticing that in the back seat was …. stranger! Well, why not “Irony of Fate” in a new way?

As a dry-cleaner for upholstered furniture, Ekaterina serves clients at home all day long, driving around in her Kia Rio. So the other day I went to deliver orders. She got into the driver’s seat, started the engine, and drove off. And only half an hour later (!) she saw a completely unfamiliar, quite decently dressed, but drunk sleeping man in the back seat.

– I live with my five-year-old son and husband in a high-rise building on Lenin Avenue. I work in a dry-cleaner, I come to addresses, to apartments and there I do all the work on cleaning furniture, ”Ekaterina told MK. – On December 23, I returned home late, worked hard, so much so that I forgot to turn on the alarm in the car. The next morning, as always, I got into the car and did not see anyone in it. I had an order for dry cleaning in the village of Nezhny, which is literally twenty minutes from my house. I began to warm up the car first and realized that the alarm was not turned on. Then I would have looked around, but no – I warmed up, sat down and drove off. I reached the appointed address, but slipped further than the desired house drove. And so, when I began to turn around, I saw some body that was in my car in the back seat!

– It’s just some kind of joke!

– You are funny, but I was not funny, but scared. I thought, what if a knife is stuck in the throat. But honestly, I’m not at a loss! She got out of the car, opened the doors at the back, and there the man was sleeping! He was very drunk, probably in his 40s. At first, of course, I was in a stupor, thinking – who is this, where did he come from, what should I do ?! She did not call the police, she decided to wake him up herself.

– Managed?

– Well, yes, I pushed it, I took it by the hood of my jacket. He opened his eyes and at first did not understand anything – where he was, with whom he was. Then he got out of the car and asked for a lighter, he really wanted to smoke. He was well dressed, an impressive gold ring on his finger, but there were no things with him. I calmed down a little, because the person is clearly not some kind of bully. She asked a few more times – who are you, Santa Claus, or what? And he says that he doesn’t remember anything at all, saying that he came with my husband. He also said that his wife was waiting for him at home. He asked me to bring him back home, but it is very far away, at the other end of the city (section 12). I kind of got into it, I guess. I understood that he could not come with her husband, that he was talking nonsense. In general, she called him a taxi. He paid the fare himself. That’s how they broke up. It happens!

How did your husband react?

– Just sighed. Most likely, this man climbed at night. Walked somewhere near our house at a party and got drunk. He did not name himself and did not even say thank you for spending the night.
