The Leningradsky District Court of Kaliningrad sentenced businessman Vladimir Semenov to three years of suspended imprisonment after retrial of the case of beating actor Pavel Priluchny in Kaliningrad in November 2020. The press service of the court reported this on Tuesday, December 26.
Semenov’s actions were qualified as intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm. In doing so, the court took into account the positive characteristics of the defendant, his partial admission of guilt, active cooperation in the investigation and intention to compensate for damages.
The incident occurred in November 2020 in the gym above a nightclub in Kaliningrad, where Priluchny came to participate in the filming of the film. During the conflict, Semyonov, according to investigators, hit the actor several times out of personal hostility.
The first verdict in the case of beating Priluchny was made in November 2022. Semenov was sentenced to correctional labor for 1 year 5 months with the withholding of 15% of wages to the state income, but the judicial board in criminal cases overturned the verdict.
Vladimir Semenov, speaking about the events of November 2020, claimed that he had no conflict with Priluchny. The actor, according to him, was drunk and insisted on sparring, and then, despite Semenov’s refusal, tried to stab him in the head. The businessman stated that, defending himself, he hit back with his right hand towards Paul.
