According to him, the Japanese do not panic. Nearly 2.5 million people in southwestern Japan have been evacuated as an extremely strong typhoon, number 14, approaches. Emergency services have warned that people are facing the fourth, penultimate level of threat, which means a recommendation to evacuate to a safe place while it is still possible.
And for almost 68 thousand people living in the cities of Izumi and Nishinoomote, Kagoshima Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, the fifth, highest level of threat has been declared.
“The typhoon is expected to be severe,” said Mikhail Mozzhechkov. – But with us they are often closer to autumn and autumn. In Kyushu, people bought water in case of possible interruptions in supply.
He added that there were no warnings about the threat of a tsunami in the country. Only local news reports that the typhoon will affect not only Western, but also Eastern and Northern Japan.
According to Mikhail, on Sunday the typhoon will cross Kyushu, “and then change course to the northeast and, according to forecasts, will cross another island – Honshu on September 20.”
There are also radio and television broadcasts of the risk of “unprecedented storms, high waves and storm surges.” People are “reminded to be extremely careful.”
