More than 250 people from 17 municipalities took part in the regional sports event. A regional adaptive sports festival was held at the Trudovye Rezervy stadium, the House of Soviets reported.
The opening was attended by Deputy Governor Viktor Karamyshev and Advisor to the Governor on the rights of persons with disabilities Anna Gladilina.
Participants competed in various sports, athletics, board games, powerlifting, tactile checkers and chess, and also passed the GTO standards. In 2023, the organizers added archery and curling to the festival program.
“Trainers from various sports federations were at the festival. They looked closely at the participants, assessed their prospects and invited them to sign up for sections. For many, the festival became an opportunity to find themselves in sports,” noted Anna Gladilina.
All participants received medals and diplomas for their achievements and the will to win.
