An action in support of Ruben Vardanyan, one of the leaders of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, began in Yerevan. It takes place near the Museum-Institute of Ancient Manuscripts.
Earlier, a court in Baku decided to arrest Vardanyan for four months.
Participants in the event carry flags of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and posters as a sign of support. Despite the presence of police and special forces in the area, no arrests have been made.
Let us remind you that the Azerbaijani border service reported that Vardanyan was detained while attempting to cross the border in the direction of Armenia. He has been charged with financing terrorism on the territory of Azerbaijan and faces up to 14 years in prison in that country.
