A protocol was drawn up against Dmitry Bykov for participation in an undesirable organization

The Nikulinsky Court of Moscow received an administrative case in relation to the writer Dmitry Bykov (recognized as a foreign agent) under Art. 20.33 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of an undesirable organization). The details of the case are unknown. Under this article, the writer faces a fine of up to 15 thousand rubles, and in case of repeated violation – criminal liability.
Dmitry Bykov left Russia for the USA in the fall of 2021. In 2022 and 2023, the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow fined him twice for not marking a foreign agent in publications on social networks: the first time for 10 thousand rubles, the second time for 40 thousand rubles. On December 15, the AST publishing house announced that it had suspended the publication and sale of books by Dmitry Bykov and Boris Akunin (recognized as a foreign agent) due to their political statements. Before this, the writers became the heroes of a video by pranksters Vovan and Lexus, in which Dmitry Bykov stated that he would like to “be useful in Ukraine.”
