The Medplant company has developed a device for providing resuscitation care. The device has already been approved for use in Russia. The details were provided by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the capital Vladislav Ovchinsky.
“Among the developments that were included in the state register of medical products last year is a portable electric aspirator. Production of the first large batch of the device will be completed in March 2024,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky. He noted that at the end of last year, the resident of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ invested about 30 million rubles in research and development and prepared over five innovative products for serial production.
An aspirator is used to sanitize the upper respiratory tract when liquid or foreign body enters the body. The development is also useful in obstetrics and resuscitation.
“Since receiving resident status in 2018, the company has developed and put into mass production over 40 medical products, more than 10 of which were included in the equipment of Moscow ambulances. The company’s patent case contains 23 copyright certificates for inventions, one of the latest being the portable electric aspirator “Vikhr,” explained Gennady Degtev, general director of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
The device operates from an external network and from an internal power source. The technology of the device allows you to increase the battery life of the device to 45 minutes.
