A park 12 meters above the ground will appear in Khoroshevo-Mnevniki

The construction of an unusual multi-level landscape park will begin in the Khoroshevo-Mnyovniki area this summer. This was reported in the Moscow Construction Complex.

The peculiarity of the park, whose area will be about 1 hectare, is that it will be equipped 12 meters above the city level – on the stylobate of the residential complex.

Who does not know, the stylobate in modern architecture is the upper part of the stepped plinth of the building, as well as a structure that combines several high-rise buildings. Stylobates have recently become popular in the construction of “candle” buildings, united by a common concept. In particular, they were used in the construction of a residential complex erected as part of the reconstruction of the 75th quarter of Khoroshevo-Mnevnikov. It is there that the developer will equip the landscape park.

Andrey Bochkarev, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction, said that the landscape park will be created on the principle of “a function in every meter”.

“Amphitheaters, hiking trails up to one kilometer long, playgrounds for children and viewing platforms will be located at different levels of the facility. The park will become a real multifunctional space: it is planned to place a tennis court, places for work and sports here,” said the head of the Construction Complex of the capital.

Creating such a park is not easy. Specialists need to increase the fertile soil layer, select green spaces that will take root in such unusual conditions, and think over the drainage system. In addition, the arrangement of the functional parts of the park has its own specifics.

Works on the arrangement of the park will begin in the summer, and upon completion, local residents will have an unusual green space where they can spend time with benefit and pleasure.

There are many natural spaces in the region: the north-west of the capital is considered one of the most planted. And there are a lot of playgrounds for walking, playing sports and recreation with children. And the original landscape park on the stylobate of the residential complex will become an additional “highlight” of the area and will surely attract the attention of residents and guests of the capital, if only because wonderful panoramic views of Moscow will open from the observation deck of the park.
