A new type of extreme tourism is starting for mountain biking in the Caucasus. Bicycle tours will be sent from Kislovodsk to the northern slopes of Elbrus. This will be one of the most difficult cycling routes in Russia. Next year it was decided to organize international level races on the track.
“The asphalt road Kislovodsk-Dzhily-Su was built back in 2014, but no one considered it as a cycling route due to the very difficult terrain. But this is precisely what made it so attractive to cycling enthusiasts. Most of the route will pass at an altitude of 2400-2200 meters above sea level. This will be the first bicycle track in the country of this format. There are no such picturesque, complex and extreme places in Russia. Participants will start from Kislovodsk. We will definitely inform you additionally about the time of the cycling races,” said head Evgeny Moiseev.
Let us remind you that it was previously reported that Kislovodsk athletes became the strongest in the All-Russian freestyle wrestling tournament.
