Documents on its creation were declared invalid

The court invalidated the documents on the creation of a charitable foundation named after Alexei Batalov. The organization, against the existence of which the widow and daughter of the famous actor opposed, can now be liquidated.

The decision on the suit of the Batalov family was made today by the Dorogomilovsky court of the capital. Guitar Leontenko and Maria Batalova disputed the authenticity of the documents that formed the basis for the creation of the Blagor charitable organization. The widow and daughter of Batalov claim that the fund was created by their main opponents – Mikhail Tsivin and Natalia Drozhzhina in 2018 behind their backs. According to the papers, Batalov’s daughter and widow are listed as the founders of the foundation, registered in the premises of Batalov’s workshop in the house on Serafimovicha Street, 2. In addition, Leontenko is listed as the president of the organization.

Natalya Drozhzhina did not come to court for health reasons, but her husband tried to defend the fate of the fund to the last. According to the defendants, Gitana Arkadyevna could not have been unaware that the fund existed, and that is what she was trying to prove.

– On October 16, 2018, Gitana Leontenko signed letters addressed to Zhirinovsky and other prominent figures in politics and culture. In the letters, Leontenko was listed as the president of the Blagor Foundation, – said the defendants’ lawyer Vera Katina.

Curious details came to light in court. In 2021, Batalov’s widow gave an interview on a talk show on a federal channel, where she stated that she knew about the foundation’s existence.

“Suddenly I find out that there is Alyosha’s fund,” – this is what Batalov’s widow said verbatim in an interview. The lawyers of Tsivin and Drozhzhina are putting pressure on this fact as a reason why the plaintiffs should be denied. Indeed, according to the law, it is possible to recognize the documentation on the basis of which an organization is created only within six months after the person concerned has learned about the violation of his rights.

Mikhail Tsivin himself took the possible liquidation of the fund to heart.

– We have a lot of people who want to support this fund. The Rightholders’ Fund is ready to finance it, there are many patrons and sponsors, – the lawyer said.

The defendants were perplexed: Maria Batalova, according to Tsivin, even wrote to Patriarch Kirill with a request to bless the fund in the name of her father. As Tsivin explained, the Batalov festival “Cranes” in Vladimir was financed through the fund.

However, the defendants failed to convince the judge of the need to keep Blagor alive. The decision was made in favor of the family of Alexei Batalov. The key case on the liquidation of the fund will be considered in the Gagarin court.
