The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of building a new mosque in Moscow.
He clarified that the new mosque will be located on the street named after the first head of the Chechen Republic, Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov.
“I am very glad that Putin supported the idea of building a new mosque on the territory of Moscow. It will be built on the street, which is named after the leader of the Chechen people Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov,” said Ramzan Kadyrov.
According to him, about three million Muslims currently live in Moscow.
