A new hockey court is being prepared for opening in Yar-Sale

In the modern sports court built in Yar-Sale, specialists have begun pouring ice. The old building of the indoor skating rink will be converted into the Northern Character martial arts center in the future. This was reported on November 25 in the press service of the Governor of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
“Very little is left before the main sporting event of this year – the opening of a new hockey court in Yar-Sale. Just a couple of weeks – and the childhood dream of young hockey players “Lemmings” will come true. And it is also very important that the new ice court will allow holding competitions on a municipal and regional scale, ”Andrey Kugaevsky, head of the Yamal region, wrote on his pages in social networks.
The area of the new court is almost 1,300 square meters, which is twice the size of the existing one.
In the fall, builders brought heat and water supply to the building, installed boards and partitions for locker rooms, showers, a medical unit and offices. In parallel with the pouring of ice, finishing work is being completed at the facility, a tribune for 200 seats is being installed.
More than 20 sets of hockey equipment were purchased for new groups of young athletes. The guys will be trained by an invited coach, a pupil of the Chelyabinsk sports children’s and youth school “Tractor” and a candidate for master of sports Yaroslav Zaitsev.
Recall that on Thursday, November 24, the Governor of the YaNAO Dmitry Artyukhov and the President of PJSC Transneft Nikolai Tokarev launched the work of the ice court “Iceberg” in Korotchaevo.
