Police Major General Vasily Sonin was appointed today by decree of the President of the Russian Federation as head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard in Moscow. Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein announced this in his telegram channel.
Previously, Sonin led the Russian Guard of the Moscow Region, leading, as the parliamentarian notes, the regional headquarters to leadership positions within the department.
