A new controversial photo of Kate Middleton has been published: another photoshop or a repeat of the fate of Princess Diana

Fans of the British royal family have spotted a clue that may prove another new photo of Kate Middleton and Prince William leaving Windsor Castle was photoshopped. Royal sources emphasize, meanwhile, that the Princess of Wales “looks like a sad Princess Diana.”

Eagle-eyed fans of the British royal family have noticed another Photoshop faux pas of the monarchs. Social media users noted that a photo of Kate Middleton leaving Windsor Castle in the back seat of a chauffeured car appears to have been doctored. The picture showed the Princess of Wales sitting next to her husband Prince William, her face turned away from the camera, with mismatched bricks on the wall behind them.

“The bricks in the car windows don’t seem to match the bricks on the outside of the car,” one user on Platform X (formerly Twitter) commented on the photo.

“The bricks in the picture in the display case have new, evenly spaced layers of grout, while the bricks on the outside of the car are from an older building where the grout is uneven and worn,” another chimed in, explaining the difference between the two brick designs.

A third person suggested the photo was originally taken at Christmas 2023 – Middleton was last seen before undergoing abdominal surgery in January.

“They used a Christmas photo. They erased her earring, the brim of her hat is clearly visible, as well as the top covering the rectangle inside the car… Then they added some noise to make it harder to discern the edits… they’re really bad at it!!!” — concluded the user on the social network.

However, photographer Jim Bennett, who took the photo, told Page Six that his agency “does not alter the photos in Photoshop other than adjusting the light level if necessary.” Bennett added: “Car shots are unpredictable at the best of times, and with some reflections on the glass it can be difficult.”

The new image comes amid controversy over an edited photo of Princess Kate with her three children celebrating Mother’s Day in the UK on March 10.

A Kensington Palace source told The Telegraph that Middleton feels “terrible about the scandal and just wanted a nice family portrait.”

Meanwhile, another tipster told The Mirror that the princess would be “upset by conspiracy theories about her whereabouts that were sparked by an innocent family photo.”

Royal insiders fear Kate Middleton’s photoshop scandal is taking a toll on her recovery from abdominal surgery, which sidelined her from royal duties and left her health the subject of intense speculation.

The Princess of Wales looked tense in a new photo as she sat next to Prince William looking out the window, sparking comparisons in royal circles with photos of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

One senior royal source told Page Six: “It’s terrible to be under the public eye while you’re recovering from major surgery. She just needs to be left alone.” The insider added that it reminded them of photographs of an upset Diana sitting next to her ex-husband, King Charles, at the height of their marriage’s crisis. A month later, they announced their official breakup.

Global PR and marketing expert Mark Borkowski said the whole affair showed how the royal family would fare when Princess Kate, as a “box office attraction”, goes out of business.

“Discussions like these speak volumes about how William chooses to communicate with the press. This indicates a complete lack of contact with the media,” the expert explained.
