A new case has been opened against members of the “Azerbaijani mafia” in St. Petersburg

The Investigative Committee opened another criminal case against gang members who called themselves the Azerbaijani mafia. This was reported by the USC of Russia for St. Petersburg, quoted by Lenta.ru.
According to the press service of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for St. Petersburg, the man posted a video on social networks in which he criticized the actions of the ethnic group operating in the city. In response to the convictions, the criminals posted information aimed at inciting hatred and hostility towards the author. Moreover, they threatened the man with violence against him and his family.
A case was opened against the rowdies under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 282 (“Inciting hatred or enmity”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, was presented with a report regarding what was happening.
Earlier, law enforcement officials counted the number of attacks committed by members of the Azerbaijani mafia in St. Petersburg.
