The head of Chuvashia Oleg Nikolaev signed decree on the introduction of a municipal emergency regime to eliminate the consequences of gusty winds in the city of Shumerli and eleven municipal districts of the republic (Alikovsky, Batyrevsky, Ibresinsky, Kozlovsky, Komsomolsky, Morgaushsky, Poretsky, Tsivilsky, Cheboksary, Yalchiksky, Yantikovsky). Kommersant was told about this by the administration of the head of Chuvashia.
The department noted that on October 17, as a result of strong winds, more than 9 thousand houses, as well as more than 30 social facilities, were damaged in eight Chuvash municipalities.
“In the Ibresinsky and Cheboksary municipal districts, the roofs of multi-apartment residential buildings were damaged. The preliminary amount of damage is currently estimated at more than 12 million rubles. Funds to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation are allocated from the reserve fund of the Cabinet of Ministers of Chuvashia, which is also tasked with taking measures to provide assistance to affected citizens,” explained the administration of the head of Chuvashia.
Local authorities in municipalities where a state of emergency has been introduced are recommended to organize urgent emergency restoration work, the administration emphasized.
