In Moscow, malefactors deceived an 11-year-old boy out of more than 400,000 rubles by telling him by phone that his grandmother was in the hospital. This is reported by the Telegram channel SHOT.
Fraudsters came up with a new scheme of deception – if earlier they tried to deceive parents, now telephone criminals have switched to children.
According to the source, the teenager was at home when someone called him and said that his grandmother is now in the hospital. They said on the phone that she was allegedly going to have an operation, so she needed money and replacement items.
The schoolboy put the clothes in an expensive suitcase, got 283 thousand rubles from his parents from the stash, after which he handed everything over to the “specialist”. The boy then called his mother, who said that her grandmother was not in the hospital. As a result, a statement was written.
Now law enforcement agencies are looking for scammers. The family estimated the damage at 412 thousand rubles.
