A Moscow schoolboy created an automatic fish feeder

Well, talented guys study in Moscow schools! Anton Belenko, a student of the eleventh grade of the capital’s school No. 1354 “Vector”, presented his unique project at the “Engineers of the Future” scientific and practical forum: he developed an automatic fish feeder that is able to determine the weight of feed needed by a certain variety of farmed fish and monitor the aquatic biosphere . According to the student, this will increase the level of fish productivity in farms and stimulate their economic growth.
In fact, the idea of an automatic feeder was born by Anton Belenko not by chance. He visited the fish farm several times, where sturgeons are bred. And I saw how much effort and time it takes a specialist to feed the inhabitants of the water area, in particular, to measure the required dosage of feed. It was then that Anton began to develop a device that would allow determining the weight of granular feed that should fall into the reservoir.
Also, the automatic feeder determines the level of oxygen in the water and its temperature. As a result, these values correspond to the norm, the feed is supplied clearly on schedule. If, for example, a lack of oxygen is detected, then the system first connects a device to inject it. After 30 minutes, re-monitoring is performed. If the readings are normal, the blower is switched off and feed is supplied.
At the moment, the automatic feeder device itself is assembled and adjusted. Now Anton Belenko, together with his teacher and supervisor Andrei Zhuravlev, are working on the creation of its ergonomic and aesthetically attractive case.
Tests of the prototype are supposed to be carried out at the fish farm. The interest in the innovation has already been expressed by fish farms ready to test the new generation automatic feeder.
