As part of the festival of fidget sports, a Mortal Combat tournament was held at Novgorod University, the press service of the university said.
The event was organized by the cybersports and sports clubs of NovSU, and took place on the site of the university’s physical education and sports complex. The tournament was attended by 110 athletes representing student, school and city teams.
Polytechnic College student Dmitry Kozyukov won the Mortal Combat tournament. The student team “Ogonki” won the competition in physical basketball, and the city team “e-PULSAR” won in physical football.
According to the chairman of the NovSU eSports club Sergei Grigoriev, today physical sports are actively developing. This direction unites generations of those who played only football and those who played only in electronic format.
