A mini-sports complex for snowboarders is being built in Nadym on behalf of the Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov. This will be a modular building on a slope – at the exit from the southern part of the city, the press service of the head of Yamal reported on October 17.
The area of the new sports complex is 200 square meters, which is almost ten times more than in the old building. Inside the premises there will be warm locker rooms, coaching rooms, offices for employees, a first-aid post and a room for equipment. A rental point for snowboards and skis will be opened here for the first time.
“We have been waiting for this event for almost 20 years. Now we will have not just a small playground, but a good base for snowboarding and alpine skiing. It will have everything necessary for a comfortable stay for athletes and amateurs,” commented Daniil Mikheev, coach and teacher of the Arcturus sports school.
Let us remind you that a new one will be built in Novy Urengoy ski lodge in the northern part of the city.
