A member of the Bundestag sent questions to the German authorities about the ban on entry of cars

Member of the Bundestag from the Alternative for Germany party Eugene Schmidt asked the German government 11 questions regarding the ban on cars entering the country. About it reports RBC.
Schmidt explained that he initially sent individual requests, but the government responded with standard written refusals. At the end of August he prepared a detailed appeal. The Bundestag promised to provide an answer by the end of September.
The deputy also said that recent statements by the official representative of the European Commission (EC) only further confused the situation, since the text of the sanctions and the EC recommendations do not coincide. Schmidt expects the government to respond to his appeal, guided by the recommendations of the European Commission.
On September 10, the European Union announced a ban on the entry of Russians with their personal smartphones and cars. Later, the EC reviewed this decision and some measures were relaxed. Estonia banned the entry of cars from Russia, and Russian tourists were also urged to refrain from traveling by car to Latvia and Lithuania.
