The Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory today, September 27, amended the regional law on awards, establishing a medal “For assistance in a special military operation.”
“The medal “For Assistance in a Special Military Operation” will be awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation who have made a significant contribution in the Primorsky Territory to providing material resources to participants in a special military operation,”— reported press service of the regional parliament.
Those awarded the medal are entitled to a one-time payment of 30 thousand rubles. The medal itself will be awarded “complete with lapel pin and case.”
Last December, the regional legislative assembly established award “Hero of Primorye”. The special insignia will be awarded to military personnel from this region who distinguished themselves during a special military operation in Ukraine. In addition to the corresponding insignia, the recipients are entitled to a cash bonus in the amount of 1 million rubles.
Governor Oleg Kozhemyako awarded the first titles of Hero of the Primorsky Territory to two participants of the Northern Military District in March of this year. One of them died, the other went missing. “The commander of the marine corps of the 155th Guards Separate Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, Murad Magomedov, having completed the combat mission of blocking and destroying enemy units, fire weapons and equipment, was mortally wounded. Pilot Evgeny Osipov successfully completed the task during a combat flight, but was shot down and is still listed as missing,” said the press service of the Primorye government.
