On September 26, US State Department Head Antony Blinken had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. As State Department spokesman Matthew Miller clarified at a briefing, the parties discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
During the conversation, Blinken pointed out the need to immediately stop military clashes, as well as create conditions for the free movement of civilians.
“President Aliyev said that there will be no further military action. And we expect that he will fulfill this promise,” the State Department representative emphasized.
