Moscow region investigators uncovered a brutal crime committed 14 years ago
Fleeing from the killers, he swam across the Moscow River, free of ice, despite the cold weather, a member of the Moldovan criminal group. Two of his countrymen were less fortunate – the men were killed in a gangster showdown. The investigation of the crime dragged on for a long 14 years.
As it became known to “MK”, the detectives of the criminal investigation department and investigators managed to detain the suspects in the execution of two citizens of Moldova. Their bodies were fished out on March 1, 2008 from the Moskva River near the village of Sofyino, Ramensky District. Both died from gunshot wounds. Quite quickly, the investigators found out that the dead were in a gang of robbers. From the very beginning, it was assumed that one of their friends had dealt with them, but then there was not enough evidence for the killers.
And only recently, having again studied all the materials of the case, the guardians of the law came to the suspects, residents of Zhukovsky, 42 and 59 years old. They really knew the dead Moldovans quite well. The conflict arose due to the fact that a substantial share of the money obtained dishonestly was concealed from three robbers. The gangsters found out about this, began to threaten the embezzlers, and they decided to strike a preemptive strike. They kidnapped opponents, took them to the river bank and prepared for a demonstration execution. One of the captives miraculously managed to escape – he jumped into the river and, despite the fact that it was the end of winter, managed to swim to the other side. There he was warmed by the locals. The fugitive did not turn to the police, but preferred to lie low. Two other hostages were shot dead.
According to Olga Vradiy, senior assistant to the head of the Main Investigation Department of the TFR for the Moscow Region, in the spring of this year, the previously suspended case was submitted to the criminologist of the GSU. According to the results of the searches and interrogations, the persons involved in the murder were detained and confessed to the investigator.
