Supporters and opponents of burning the Koran fought in Arnhem, Holland
Brawls continue in the Dutch city of Arnhem, where today they tried to burn the Koran, local social networks write.
The burning event was organized by the movement @Patriotic Europeans against the Islamization of the West@. When its leader Edwin Wagensveld doused the Koran with lighter fluid and tried to set it on fire, demonstrators broke through the police cordon and tried to stop them, shouting “Allahu Akbar.”
The police reportedly beat the outraged Koran supporters with batons. In addition, explosions were heard – either firecrackers or stun grenades.
