Multifunctional machine with numerical control is designed for diamond grinding of carbide cutting inserts. Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the department of investment and industrial policy of the capital, announced the details of an important development for the domestic machine tool industry.
“Thus, the Moscow plant Grinding Machines, which is part of the STAN holding, presented its latest development – a new grinding center. The machine is designed for diamond grinding of hard-alloy cutting plates, which are then used as replaceable elements in turning, milling and drilling machines, including those with numerical control,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky. He noted that the use of inserts in metalworking significantly reduces production costs.
The grinding center is equipped with a built-in robotic arm for unloading and moving parts. This reduces setup time and improves work efficiency. The device has a system of operational control of processes.
“The processing grinding center STSH ECO is an innovation in the domestic metalworking industry. The novelty is ready to completely oust analogues from Switzerland and Japan from the market. I am sure that our machine will become indispensable for enterprises engaged in the production of tools and striving for high quality,” said Boris Bogatyrev, CEO of the holding. The plant is preparing for serial production.
