Prime Ministers of Italy, Canada, and Belgium Giorgia Meloni, Justin Trudeau and Alexander de Croo, as well as the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen arrived in the Ukrainian capital. Reuters reports this.

It is noted that all Western politicians arrived in Kyiv by train from Poland.

“Four Western leaders, including the prime ministers of Italy, Canada and Belgium, arrived in Kyiv on Saturday to express solidarity with Ukraine,” the publication said.

It is clarified that the head of the EC intends to hold the first meeting of the year with the G7 leaders, in which Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will also take part. In addition, before the virtual summit, the Italian Prime Minister plans to meet with the head of the Ukrainian state; a security agreement similar to those that Kyiv signed with London, Berlin and Paris is expected to be signed.

In addition, to Kyiv arrived former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
