The Ukrainian publication “Zerkalo Nedeli,” citing local residents, reported that a large-scale sewerage breakthrough occurred in the Borshchagovka residential area in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv on Monday night.
It is clarified that the Jules Verne Boulevard was filled with sewage there.
“Cars were literally drowned in this sewage. A few hours after midnight, the breakthrough was eliminated. At the moment, utility workers are clearing the street,” the material notes.
According to the authors of the publication, the situation is complicated by the fact that the accident occurred against the backdrop of cold weather. The Kiev City Hall and Kievvodokanal did not comment on the situation.
