A handball arena for 3,000 spectators will be built in Novorossiysk

At the beginning of 2024, a new handball arena should appear in Novorossiysk. This was announced by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Russian Handball Federation Sergey Shishkarev.
He said that the arena, designed for 3,000 seats, should open in the village of Aleksino in Novorossiysk. Estimated time for completion of construction, according to him, is January 2024.
Sergey Shishkarev is a native of Novorossiysk, an honorary resident of the city, the founder of the Chernomorochka handball club. Now this Novorossiysk team is playing home matches in Abrau-Dyurso, where the handball hall can accommodate only 100 spectators.
Chernomorochka is leading by a wide margin in the Major League and can join the Super League in the new season. At the end of January the team spent quarterfinal match of the Cup of Russia, where she lost at home to one of the leading teams in the country, Zvenigorod Zvezda.
– Chornomorochka has excellent chances of winning the Premier League, and I think it will be a pleasure for Superleague clubs to come to visit it, – Sergei Shishkarev concluded.
