Colonel of the special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Timur Myasnikov died during the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. The military man returned home from Ukraine on leave and was at a concert with his family. This was announced by the head of the Samara branch of “Officers of Russia” Arthur Malivanchuk in “In contact with”and Telegram channel graduates of Suvorov military schools.
“Just a few days ago he came on vacation to visit his family in Moscow. And this had to happen, I decided to go to Crocus for a concert with my wife Polina and son Ruslan. The bandits appeared unexpectedly,” said Arthur Malivanchuk. According to him, the soldier pushed his wife and son to safety, but came under heavy fire.
The man was hospitalized with three gunshot wounds. Doctors tried to save him for several days, but were unable to. Farewell to the colonel will take place today, March 29, in the ritual hall on Savelovsky Prospekt.
Timur Myasnikov fought in Kosovo and Tajikistan. For the last two years he has been in the military conflict zone in Ukraine. Served in the 3rd Special Forces Brigade.
Among the other victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall are Oleg Shikhovtsev, head of the Lyubertsy road management and road infrastructure development department; winner of the title “Miss Tver 2001” Ekaterina Novoselova; two volunteers of the Lisa Alert search group in the Ulyanovsk region – Oleg Pavlovsky and Tatyana Abdulova. In total, according to the latest data, 143 people died during the terrorist attack, 120 of them have already been identified. Another 382 were injured, most receiving outpatient care.
